Acting (Intermediate)
-
This workshop series is tailored for the aspiring performers as well as actors looking to tune up their craft. Each session begins with physical, image-based, polysensorial exercises from Nusantara Theatric’s unique methodology PRISM Work, and then unpacks pertinent skills of understanding behaviour, analysing motivation, self-reflexivity and performance prior to any character work based on the works of theatre practitioners and educators Konstantin Stanislavsky, Earle Gister and Uta Hagen. Such skills involve techniques for working with the ‘Fourth Wall’, recreating ‘Physical Sensations’, navigating between ‘Inner & Outer Targets’ and more. Every session will involve a different exercise or acting task to practise these skills based on Uta Hagen’s exercises. This series will involve an element of self-directed study and preparation between each session, aimed at deepening and consolidating the practical work during class.
