Performance Practice

Our Performance Practice offerings are modular in nature, meaning that they can operate as stand-alone programs which we host as one-to-one sessions or once interest has been expressed by the minimum number of participants, or they can be combined in a variety of ways for an extended learning curriculum.

Poleng Mask Work

This workshop combines handcrafted wooden masks and the performance techniques of Michael Chekhov. It is designed for performing artists looking to find new energetic, physical, polysensorial and image-based pathways to tap into their imagination, presence and creative autonomy.

Martial Arts for Artists

Building power, control, and confidence is this workshop’s key focus. Designed for artists who are seeking a practice to deepen their mind-body connection, enhance physicality, mental acuity, and calmness amidst the unpredictable chaos of the artist’s life.

Sculpting Sites

Sculpting Sites represents a component of our company’s training methodology PRISM Work. It combines our research on somatic awareness and polysensory attunement practices to a space alongside movement composition principles of time and space.

Acting (Beginner)

Develop imagination, confidence, teamwork, movement & voice skills, and an appreciation of acting and performance in this introduction to Acting workshop.

Acting (Intermediate)

Deepen and consolidate the practical tools of the actor in this intermediate course, where self-directed study and preparation between each session form the foundations of your in-class reflections.

Scene Work (Advanced)

The key focus of this series is transformation! Learn to shift from playing oneself to crafting evocative and imaginative characters while inhabiting the dramatised worlds of an author’s text, culminating in a final performance-sharing of scenes.

Table Work

This workshop series is perfect for those looking to deepen their connection to theatrical text and strengthen their understanding of how an actor approaches text analysis.

Audition Preparation & Coaching

Whether preparing for stage or screen, or focusing on drama school auditions, our sessions focus on training both the artist and the individual towards self-directing short and effective performances in the audition room.

Devised Performance

This workshop is designed to provide multiple entry points into the world of devised performance, uncovering every participant’s unique creative instincts in a supportive yet challenging environment.

Stage Combat

How do I fall down safely in performance? Or punch? Or get slapped? This workshop is designed to give participants an insight into stage combat as a practical performance skill and as a framework for structure and safety while performing staged violence and slapstick comedy.

Acting For Screen

This workshop offers an introduction and immersion into a hands-on practical experience in the techniques unique to on-camera acting. Monologues and scenes will be presented in class and filmed for the purposes of providing feedback.

Working With Actors

Designed by actors and acting coaches for directors with some working experience, but little or no involvement in the performing arts, we provide guidance on how best to evoke powerful performances from your ensemble, provide feedback, and foster a brave and caring rehearsal room under your leadership.

Beyond these curated offerings, we endeavour to tailor programs to you and your specific needs and intentions. We are always excited to co-create programs with others!
